Towards the end of the 20th Century, women began to practice the culinary arts as a profession in multitudes. However, as far as women's chef uniforms went, all that was available was unisex (shapeless), ill-fitting and atrocious. How could a female chef wear chef uniforms made to a man's measurements and look her best? Aware of the demand for well made, feminine and fashionable women's chef uniforms, we developed styles and patterns to compliment the shape of a woman's figure.

Crooked Brook women's chef jackets have become the uniform for the most recognized women in the art and noble science of gastronomy. There are imitations of these women's fitted chef coats that sell for about half the price, but do not even come close to the quality of construction, fabric, or fit. Women's chef jackets are available in numerical sizes 2-26. For women whose size is considered petite or plus size (extra large or over size 20), we recommend that you call us to discuss your measurements to ensure a proper fit.

| Knowing that very few women's body measurements correlate with the garment specifications of a given size, we offer women's chef coats in what we call combination sizes. For example, if a woman's body measurements were 39-31-41 according to our size chart she would be our size 14. However, if her measurements were 39-33-43, she could order a 14 top, 16 bottom women's chef jacket. | |||||||

Custom Made and Made to Order Women's Chef Uniforms
Not
only does our pattern-making department allow us to develop a new style
whenever one of us is struck with a burst of artistic inspiration, it
allows our customers to do the same, or to add their own details to an
existing style. The style of the jacket is the way it looks from the
front, which is the front closure, collar, and neckline. To begin with, chef jackets do not have to be ordered exactly as they appear in the images on our website. You may:
If
you are a customer, who has worn and laundered one of our jackets for at
least two months, and you have an idea for a jacket, or details that you
would like to incorporate with an existing style, call us to discuss it. However,
before we even start to talk about a custom jacket, we have to make sure
that we are the right fit - i.e. that you are completely satisfied with
our work, our personalities, etc. and vice versa. Once
there is agreement on both sides that "we can all get along",
and solely at our discretion, will we discuss the possibility of designing
a custom jacket. We
do not guarantee that we will be able fulfill your request, but we would
be willing to talk abut what you have in mind. Of course, there will be a
pattern charge depending on the complexity of the modifications requested.
However, if something similar to your request already exists in our
pattern library, or if the idea is not to "way out there", the
charge for the alteration of an existing pattern will be minimal. Here is an example of a jacket based off of our Style W100 with a customized collar, neckline and cuffs.
