You can get "fleeced" buying a personalized fleece blanket if you don’t know a few things:

•Polarfleece® is the original synthetic fleece fabric and was created in 1979 by Malden Mills. Today, the word Polarfleece® is sometimes used as the generic name for synthetic fleece.

•Fleece fabric is predominantly made from 100% polyester. However, it can be blended with other fibers such as cotton, rayon, spandex, or wool.

•A non-pill (no pilling, anti pill) finish prevents the surface of the blanket from pilling. Pilling is the formation of little balls of fiber on the surface of the fabric.

•The only difference between fleece blankets (fleece throws or stadium blankets) and fleece baby blankets is the size.

•Fleece blankets come in different thicknesses: micro, 100, 200, and 300. The higher the number, the thicker and heavier the fabric.
