A jacket is a garment with sleeves that covers the upper body and fastens in the front. Although jackets are usually waist or hip length, lighter and less insulating than a coat, the words jacket and coat interchangeably.

The word jacket comes from the French jaquette, which comes from the Middle French noun jaquet, which refers to a small or lightweight tunic. In Modern French, jaquette is synonymous with jacket.

When most uniform companies say that they make "Custom Bar Jackets", "Custom Bartender Jackets" or "Server Jackets", what they mean is that you can get a mass produced, premade jacket with your logo embroidered on it.

Crooked Brook is a unit of the atelier division of an art studio that offers full service apparel design, pattern making, sample making, private-label small lot production and embroidery.

In addition to embroidered and printed brand name apparel and accessories, we also offer jackets, vests and uniforms made according to a customer’s fabric and style specifications. In some cases, we make jackets from customer supplied fabric, closures and an their own individual pattern.

With our in house pattern making, cutting, sewing, logo digitizing and embroidery, over 450 embroidery thread colors, 55 piping colors, large variety of styles, dozens of fabrics (including Supima® and Certified 100% Organic Cotton Twill), and an extensive line of buttons to choose from, you can design your custom bartender or server jackets in ways you never imagined.

Every restaurant, hotel, casino, resort or spa has it's own ambiance. Implementing the designs and ideas of architects and interior designers can run into the millions.

Once the place is operating, some spend hundreds per week on flowers alone. And yet when it comes to the wait staff uniform, more often than not it's the same old black pants, white tuxedo shirt and black bow tie.
